Winter operations

Snow and ice management that protects what's underneath.

Northeast Ohio winters are rarely gentle — the mild ones are the exception, not the rule. We clear commercial and residential properties across the Akron-Canton area, and we do it without tearing up the pavement in the process.

  • Free, no-obligation estimates
  • Per-plow, hourly or seasonal rates
  • 24/7 for commercial emergencies

Commercial and residential

Every part of the job, from the lot to the front walk

A property that isn't cleared costs you customers, staff time and goodwill. We handle all aspects of snow and ice removal — plowing parking lots, driveways and drive lanes, shoveling sidewalks and walkways, and applying salt or melting agents to remove ice.

Lots, drive lanes and sidewalks

Parking lots, drive lanes and entrances plowed and treated, with sidewalks and walkways shoveled and de-iced — for offices, retail, restaurants, medical facilities, multi-family housing and municipal sites.

Driveways and walkways at home

The same trucks and the same care at home: your driveway, front walk and steps cleared and treated in one visit, so nobody tracks snow inside or slips on the way to the door.

Residential services

We care about your property

Careful plowing is part of the job

A plow that is pushed hard and fast ruins more than the snow. We are careful when we plow, and we take care to move snow away from landscaped areas, light pole bases and buildings — not up against them, where the weight of snow and the melt that follows can do real damage.

That protection starts before the first storm. At the beginning of snow season we mark parking areas, landscape islands, fire hydrants and other obstacles, so every pass we make is an informed one.

Marked each fall

Parking areas, landscape islands, fire hydrants and other obstacles are marked at the beginning of snow season.

Poles and hydrants

Light pole bases and fire hydrants stay visible and undamaged, instead of being found by the blade.

Snow moved away

Snow is relocated clear of landscaped areas and buildings rather than piled against them.

Weight and melt

Keeping snow off plants, poles and walls prevents damage from the weight of snow and from melting ice.

We care about your safety

Walkways safe to use, planting left intact

After we plow, we apply agents to melt ice as necessary — so the path in is safe for you, your customers and your employees, while the beds and borders beside it are left alone.

Ice treated after every plow

Clearing snow is only half the job. We follow with salt or melting agents wherever ice is left behind, so walkways and entrances are safe to walk on instead of slick.

Extra care around sensitive plants

De-icing products can burn shrubs and beds, so we take extra care when salting to protect your sensitive plants. A safe walkway never has to cost you the landscaping.

Powerful, state-of-the-art equipment

Blades that clear the snow, not the asphalt

Our trucks are powerful and our plows are state-of-the-art. What matters most is the edge that touches your pavement: every blade we run is polymer-edged.

Heavy snow and ice need real equipment and a driver who knows how to use it. Our plows are very effective at moving both, which means fewer return trips and a lot that is open when you need it open.

Conventional steel blades scrape the surface they are clearing. Ours are polymer-edged, so they glide over asphalt instead of gouging it.

  • Polymer-edged plow blades protect your parking lot surface
  • Prolongs the life of your parking lot and driveways
  • Prevents potholes, cracks and the damage conventional plow blades cause
  • Reduces your parking lot surface maintenance costs

Rates and pricing

Three ways to price a winter

Our rates are very competitive and we stay flexible. You choose how the work is billed — we will quote all three arrangements for your property and let you decide.

Per plow

You pay for each time we clear the property. It suits owners who want the cost to follow the weather, with nothing committed up front and no charge in a quiet month.

Hourly

Billed for the time we spend on site. Best where the work changes storm to storm — tight lots, hand-shoveling walkways, or snow that has to be hauled clear instead of stacked.

Seasonal

One price agreed for the whole winter. It suits commercial properties that want a predictable line in the budget and a crew already committed to their lot before the first flake.
